Hypnotherapy, also referred to as hypnosis, is a form of psychotherapy that uses guided relaxation, extreme concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness. It is a safe, effective process and involves the client and therapist working together to resolve issues, relieve emotional burdens and achieve the clients’ personal goals. The hypnotic state allows people to explore painful thoughts, feelings, and memories they might have hidden from their conscious minds, and to perceive things differently, such as blocking an awareness of pain. The two main methods of hypnotherapy are Suggestion Therapy and Analysis.
