I am passionate about health and wellness and helping you to create and enjoy a life of vitality, health, happiness, and peace. Life is very challenging in the 21st century, with demands of all kinds on our time and energy. It may seem that we are always “on” with little time to catch our breath or rest a bit. I know how hard it can be trying to manage work, home, life, relationships, kids, parents. I get it--I have been there--overwhelmed and overworked, and at times have juggled more balls in the air than a circus clown. Once I understood the importance of balance and boundaries, I made simple and user friendly behavior and lifestyle changes, and life got easier. I will work with you to help you create a life of balance and harmony, so that you can enjoy each day, rested and relaxed. When stressors and challenges appear, you will be able to manage them effectively so they do not manage you.
Christel has had a long career of helping inspire and motivate people to better health as a clinical dental hygienist and educator, to her work as a lifestyle coach and consultant. She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, specializing in integrative health, stress management and positive lifestyles, a Certified Holistic Stress Management Instructor, Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Certified Reiki Master. She is an adjunct faculty member and the Director for the Institute for Holistic Health Studies at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. She and a group of fellow graduates of the Duke Integrative Health Coaching Professional Program founded the Global Integrative Health Coaching Alliance. She is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is a continuing education provider for the Yoga Alliance. She is a certified AcuYoga Instructor and utilizes acupressure points within her yoga practices and programs. Christel is an author, workshop presenter and a dynamic speaker at conferences and events for health professionals and the general public.
Christel will work with you in person, on the telephone, or via computer to tailor a program specific for you and your needs. I will guide and support you on your journey to a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life. My health coaching and stress management programs draw from western medicine, alternative medicine, yoga, acupressure, reiki, stress management techniques, and more. My philosophy and practice are based on the principle that health is multidimensional and holistic and involves the body, mind, spirit and emotions. I will be your partner and we will work together at the pace you choose.
