As a therapist and life coach, I believe psychotherapy can be a safe, open space to unpack imprinted values, judgments, and beliefs, and to figure out what makes sense now. With compassion, honesty, and non-judgment I listen to lighten the heaviness and address whatever you need to - from the most mundane to the biggest life and spiritual questions. We will work together so you gain insight, manage anxiety, fear, depression, work through internal blocks and enjoy a more fulfilled life.
It takes wisdom to seek solutions. Honesty with yourself is the first step toward freedom and I applaud your courage. My goal is to assist on your journey and answer the question, “Who am I?” If your desire is to awaken, to experience emotional freedom and independence, together we can overcome obstacles and move in the direction of healing and transformation.
My therapeutic style is an action-oriented approach. I also utilize the book I authored, Twelve Guaranteed Ways To Be Free! This handbook takes a comical look at what we do to ourselves and how to stop it. It is lighthearted, poignant, and filled with humorous illustrations. It is easy to digest, fun, and offers a clear picture of how I help you focus on yourSelf.
I founded the Atlanta Awareness Center over 30 years ago, providing dynamic personal and spiritual opportunities for those who are determined to wake up. To help me survive personal challenges, I discovered simple everyday methods that rapidly dissolve issues. Utilizing my life experience, a Master's Degree in Psychological Counseling, and a Georgia License, I put a board spectrum of modalities to the test. The answers I found provided welcome relief, guiding me to share this knowledge. In summary, I provide a specialized form of coaching/therapy which quickly goes to the root of problems. You learn to love and respect yourSelf by taking growth-oriented risks that most individuals do not. You risk learning to be you!
I boldly challenge the norm by teaching individuals they must come first in their lives, and why. Over the years, I have witnessed what I term “Selfishness with a capital “S,” rapidly transform lives. What does that mean? It means you matter in your life and are willing to act in your own behalf saying “yes” and “no” without hesitation (if only inside initially), and bravely following your intuition (that quiet internal voice). The capital “S” refers to honoring your true self (soul) or inner wisdom and is in direct opposition to the conditioning that has been in control.
I will help you integrate the “how to” of living what Self-help and therapy teach. Proven practical life-skills allow you to live right now, take responsibility, end blame, fully experience emotions, safely express, and forgive yourself and others (even though it seems impossible at times). Most important, to act independently, not through other people's opinions. If this resonates and you crave freedom within, you found the right place!
